Effective date: 25 October 2026
This policy explains what information bestSEO.tips (“we”, “us”) and its free browser tools, Site Search Opener and SERP Checker, handle, and the choices you have. Please also read our Terms of Use.
The short version
- The tools need no account and no sign-up.
- Your tool data (domain lists, projects, recent queries, settings and location cache) stays in your own browser. We never receive it.
- We do not sell personal data, and we do not use advertising or cross-site trackers.
- When you use a feature that talks to another service, for example opening a Google search or loading a map, your browser contacts that service directly.
1. Who we are
bestSEO.tips (https://bestseo.tips/) is an independent website run by Albert Adaikkalam as an individual. You can reach us through the contact details at the end of this page.
2. Data the tools keep in your browser
Site Search Opener saves your projects, own and competitor domain lists, selections, recent queries, form entries and settings in your browser’s local storage on your device. Export and import files are created and read on your device; nothing is uploaded to us.
SERP Checker may save location lookups in your browser’s local storage so they load faster next time. If you enter a Google Geocoding API key, it is kept only in the page’s memory for that visit. The tool does not save it and does not send it to us.
We cannot see, access or recover any of this data. To delete it, use the tool’s own options (for example “Clear local location cache” in SERP Checker) or clear the site data for bestseo.tips in your browser settings.
3. Services your browser contacts when you use the tools
These are separate companies or projects with their own privacy policies. Like any website, each one also receives your IP address and basic browser information with every request. We do not control them.
| Service | When | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Site Search Opener | ||
| Google Search, Microsoft Bing, ChatGPT (OpenAI), Perplexity | When you click an open button | The query you built. Links open without sending our page address as the referrer. |
| Google favicon service | While site icons are switched on | The domain names in your lists, to show their icons. |
| Google search suggestions | While suggestions are switched on and you type | The text you type in the keyword box. |
| AnonymZ (anonymz.io), href.li | Only if you switch on these optional link routes in Settings | The search link being opened. |
| SERP Checker | ||
| Google Search and Google search suggestions | When you open a results page or use suggestions | Your keyword and the location settings you chose. |
| OpenStreetMap tiles, Esri ArcGIS tiles | When you open the map in Advanced settings | The map area you are viewing. |
| unpkg.com | When the map loads | A request for the Leaflet map library files. |
| Nominatim (OpenStreetMap), Photon (Komoot), Open-Meteo, BigDataCloud | When you search for a place or pick a point on the map | The place name or the coordinates. |
| Google Geocoding API | Only if you add your own key and the free services fail | The address and your key. Google’s billing applies to your key. |
| unshorten.me | Only if you paste a short Google Maps link | That link, so it can be expanded. |
4. The website itself
- Hosting, delivery and security: our web host and Cloudflare process each request to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This includes your IP address, browser and device information and the pages you request, which may be kept in server and security logs for a limited time.
- Analytics: the site may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views in aggregate and does not use cookies. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking.
- Cookies: only cookies needed to run, cache and protect the site, such as Cloudflare security cookies. The tools themselves do not set cookies.
- Comments: if you leave a comment, WordPress stores the name, email address and website you enter, plus your IP address and browser information for spam checks. An anonymised hash of your email address may be checked with the Gravatar service (Automattic privacy policy). Published comments are public.
- Messages to us: if you contact us, we use your message only to reply.
5. Why we process data
We process the limited data described in section 4 to deliver and secure the website and to reply to you. Where laws such as the GDPR apply, our legal bases are our legitimate interest in running a safe website and, where you contact or comment, your request or consent. We do not process the tool data in section 2 at all, because it never leaves your browser.
6. How long we keep data
- Server and security logs: for the short periods set by our host and Cloudflare.
- Comments: for as long as they are published, or until you ask us to remove them.
- Data in your browser: until you clear it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as the EU and UK GDPR, India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and the California Consumer Privacy Act give you rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. To use these rights, contact us as shown below. Tool data is only in your own browser, so you control it directly.
8. Children
This website and its tools are meant for adults working in SEO and marketing. They are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
9. International processing
Our host, Cloudflare and the services listed in section 3 may process data in other countries, including the United States, under their own safeguards.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how the site or the tools handle data, we will update this page and its effective date.
